This first section of pictures are all of the guardrails being removed. I worked out a deal with the CR Hunt contractors, who let me have the guardrails off the bridge.

Looks a lot different without the railings!

These next pictures are from when I stopped up here in the morning. They were finishing up the removal of the deck. It was during this visit that I could really see just the trusses, and see how good a condition the truss steel was in.

See those nice i-beams with no rust holes in them?

This is my last look at Nicol Road Bridge. The next time I came up, it was all gone.

These next pictures are from when I came up in the evening with my friend Luke Gordon and my dad to pick up the railings. They had already cut up and hauled away the truss bridge. Other than the railings, this was all that was left.

Luke inspects the ruins. Hmmm.. what's missing in this picture? Actually a couple other parts of the bridge were still here. The two smaller i-beams crossing the river are from the truss bridge.

All the railings loaded on the car hauler. They were pretty heavy to lift or even move, and I had two other men helping me.
