Type | Road | Location | City | Crossing |
| Pollock's Bridge | Truss | US-6 | Erie County, PA | Rural | French Creek |
This was supposed to be the second truss bridge I would visit on my trip to Pennsylvania in June of 2004. Sadly, it turned out to be the first one. The US-6N bridge, which was also camelback through truss, but a bit more decorated with v-lacing, was, as Daniel fittingly put it on his webpage, obliterated when I visited it. Now even this sturdy bridge has succumbed to PennDOT's ruthless bridge program. Yet another grand waste of tax-payer dollars.
The trusses on this bridge were a bit less massive than some of the other bridges in Pennsylvania that were built later in the truss bridge era. It was a very attractive bridge, and it popped into sight quite nicely as you approached from the west on US-6N.
