A note on photos for this bridge: I have made an unusually large number of full size / wallpaper sized images available for this bridge. Those of you who want to skip right to the standard 640x480 pictures can click here.

This is a side view of the whole bridge, with the ugly new bridge abutment in the way in the corner. I was standing in the northwest quadrant as I took this picture. The new bridge was built west of the truss bridge.

Lattice guardrails and scenery behind. I do not agree with the Scenic River Act that said leaving this bridge would interfere with the beauty of the river. View looking east.

This is the historic truss bridge. Taken from a different quadrant (northwest) but is a good comparison to the photo of the replacement below.

This is the new slab of steel that totally disgraces the essence that the historic truss bridge once had in the area. This photo was taken from the southwest quadrant. Note the widespread clearing of land around the bridge, and consider my opinion that the Scenic River Act is a joke - it got the old bridge torn down and did nothing to control the destruction caused by the new bridge. This image is full-size, from the Lehman Engineers Website and is a great way to incite historic bridge-lovers into a heart attack! I would not recommend leaving this picture displaying on your computer for long periods of time, your monitor may commit suicide!
This plaque was mounted in an innovative, but unusual orientation.
