| Thamesville Railroad Bridge | Truss | Railroad (CN, ViaRail) | Chatham-Kent Region | Near Thamesville | Thames River |
Partly because it carries two sets of railroad tracks, this truss bridge has huge members, and is quite impressive to look at. It is a Warren through truss with riveted connections. It features v-lacing on the diagonals and under the top chord. The portal and sway bracing is latticed. Oddly, despite the large members, the floor beams seemed smaller than you would expect. This bridge is easy to get to, since it is right by River Road. I would expect that it still carries a large number of trains, although I didn't see any while I was here.
