Thanks to Luke Gordon for visiting and photographing this bridge.
This is a nice classic pin connected half-hip Pratt pony truss. It retains a nice wooden deck, as well as most of its simple metal railings. V-lacing is present on the vertical members. The bridge is located at the end of Ulshaffer Road, and now has a fence across it, suggesting that the last part of the road is now private. Strangely enough, the 3 ton weight limit sign posted at the bridge looks new. Perhaps ownership of this bridge was transferred recently. Getting photos is still possible, however. The main i-beams under this bridge are unusual, because they have an arched shape to them. The Michigan Historic Bridge Inventory gives a date of 1930 for the construction of this bridge... this is probably incorrect, based on the features of the bridge. I would guess the bridge to be built around the turn of the 20th century.
