It is a sad scene these days, and a depressing find for a person who enjoys finding bridges that are still standing. At least a number of bridge parts and supports are still around which allows me to get a rough idea of what used to be here. A lady that lives nearby told me that this bridge was a pony truss. It would be a fairly long pony truss, but remains of vertical members do look like pony truss parts. I can conclude that there was a long steel pin connected pony truss here, with some sort of approach at the west end. Abutments were of concrete, and supports were steel caissons.
