Another impressive waste of taxpayer dollars! A historic truss bridge that deserved to be restored is replaced by a two lane bridge that rarely sees a single car on it, let along two cars at once!
I hate Lapper County Road Commission. Not that they are any worse than other road commissions, but they have destroyed very rare things unexpectedly. They have no website, and did not respond to a letter I sent them some time ago, so I have been uninformed. MDOT helped me out more with this county when I received the statewide historic bridge inventory, which led me to this, the remains of their last truss bridge. This is twice I have come upon ruins of bridges in their county unprepared. The great Genesee Road Bridge was destroyed before I could get more than 30 pictures of it, and now I find this, their last truss bridge, sitting in a pile next to an ugly slab of concrete.
