These are two bridges that sit side by side in Norfolk. The one on the right in the above photo still operates, while the other one is apparently abandoned. The one shown on the right is a wider structure also, but the one on the left is a noticeably longer structure. Even as a stationary structure, it would be a long span, it is quite impressive to see as a movable structure. There are plate girder approach spans for these structures.
This bridge is currently the only Norfolk area bridge on this website, but it should be noted that there are several other interesting bridges in this area, including a railroad swing bridge a bit upstream on this river.
