Thanks to James Rouse for visiting and photographing this historic bridge.
This is a very small bridge that was built perhaps in the 1920s-1930s. During this time, and earlier as well, engineers wanted even the smallest bridges to look attractive. This bridge is a perfect example of this, with the concrete railings that feature inset rectangles, a common form of architectural expression during this time. This bridge is located on a quiet dirt road that was at one time a state trunkline. This bridge is likely a standard plan structure, and as such a good example of small-scale bridge construction in Wisconsin similar to the Fisher Road Bridges seen in Michigan.
