This bridge is a relatively standard 1930s pony truss. It retains original railings behind modern Armco railings. A rather historically insensitive alteration is found in the bottom chord which is incased in concrete. The bridge continues to serve its original purpose, carrying busy US-60 over an active rail line. The bridge was built by the noteworthy McClintic-Marshall Company which was noted for building monumental bridges such as the Ambassador Bridge and the Anthony Wayne Bridge.
