This bridge is next to a historic pedestrian bridge. This truss bridge is noted for its tall and impressive trusses, a result of its extremely long span length for a pony truss. Although the bridge is a late example of a riveted truss bridge it is still significant for displaying rivets, which have not been used in construction for decades now except in restoration work. The bridge has good historic and structural integrity and original railings remain on the bridge.
